About EA

Founded in 2008, EA WorldView is a unique initiative in reporting and analysis, combining academic expertise, journalism, and specialist knowledge from multilingual open-source intelligence and human networks.

EA is now a model for real-time analysis and understanding of key events in Iran, Syria, and the wider Middle East, as well as US foreign policy.

Based at the University of Birmingham, EA works with staff and partners in the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, who have linguistic, analytical and journalistic skills.

EA has demonstrated how information from social media, multilingual open-source intelligence and on-the-ground sources can be combined to track and evaluate critical political, economic, and military developments.

We have led this new ‘ground-up’ approach to analysis in our Iran coverage from June 2009, Syria coverage from March 2011, and general Middle Eastern coverage from December 2010.

Future plans include dedicated coverage of Israel/Palestine from Fall 2013 and Iraq from start of 2014.

EA has become a daily source for Government agencies, NGOs, corporates, academics, and journalists. Our staff are interviewed daily by global outlets including the BBC, Reuters, Al Jazeera English, Radio Free Europe, AP and newspapers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

hello, I would like to know why 2 of my comments in Iran blog were deleted today? were they offensive? if so how?

      incyprus,

With the new system, comments may not appear until they have been read by EA staff. That means that, when we take an overnight break, this will take a bit of time.
