Ivanka Trump points to the inscription stone of the US Embassy in Jerusalem, May 14, 2018

In our latest journey across TrumpLand, I join Alexis Conran and former MP Lembit Opik on talkRADIO to discuss a provocation by the Trump Administration — and complications for it.

The provocation is the move of the US Embassy to Jerusalem, with Trump’s “clown caravan” and the symbolic recognition of the city as Israeli accompanied by the killing of 65 Palestinians and wounding of more than 2,700 by Israel’s security forces.

An immediate complication is North Korea’s sudden switch from conciliation to firm demand over its nuclear weapons program, leaving Trump and his advisors floundering less than a month before Trump’s summit with Kim Jong-un.

And the longer-term complication is the slow advance of Special Counsel Robert Mueller in the Trump-Russia investigation, leaving Trump worried and fuming.
