VideoCast with TRT World: The US and Assad’s Chemical Attacks on Douma

Bodies of victims of April 7 chemical attacks on Douma

I joined Turkey’s TRT World on Sunday evening to discuss the possible US response to the Assad regime’s chemical attacks on Douma, near Syria’s capital Damascus.

My straightforward assessment, in light of a chaotic White House, “We just don’t know.”

There is further examination of the dynamics of the Trump Administration, a straightforward assessment of the situation (“Yes, the Assad regime did this. Russia lies.”), and consideration of what could be done, such as a protected zone for civilians in parts of Syria such as the northwest.
