Even by the dramatic standard set by the Trump-Russia investigation, it’s been a hectic few weeks.

Trump staff George Padadopoulos has pled guilty in the first conviction, after cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and a grand jury has confirmed indictments against former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and his top aide Rick Gates.

The net appears to be closing on former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, with an alleged plot with Turkish officials — to forcibly cleric Fetullah Gülen to Turkey, in return for up to $15 million — joining the inquiry of Flynn’s connections with the Russian Ambassador to the US, Sergei Kislyak.

Mueller’s questioning has now reached the hard-right Stephen Miller, increasingly Trump’s essential advisor in crafting the Trumpian message and seizing the initiative on domestic and foreign policy.

And all the while, Trump denies that anything improper occurred and tries to sweep away the investigation with denials, insults and threats.

On Saturday, I joined Alexis Conran of talkRADIO to review the state of the Trump-Russia affair.
