Podcast: Iran Tries to Outmaneuver Trump Over Nuclear Deal

As Donald Trump denounces the nuclear deal with Iran — but passes any decision to Congress — Tehran is trying to outmaneuver him, isolating the US.

In a chat with Monocle 24’s The Daily on Friday night, I explain how Tehran is pursuing back-channel discussions to try and persuade Europe to side with it rather than Washington. These include an Iranian offer for a framework covering its ballistic missile program.
