CNN assembles footage and interviews to document the Assad regime’s April 4 nerve agent attack on Khan Sheikhoun in northwest Syria.

The 8-minute video shows the assault, including airstrikes on the local hospital treating victims, the movement of the wounded to Turkey, and the mourning of those who lost family members.

  1. Hi Scott, she recounts the story as if she were there when whatever this was took place. I don’t see anything conclusive to prove that Assad’s forces were behind a “gas” attack. It looked fishy from the outset and it still does look fishy. Apologies.

    • “I don’t see anything conclusive to prove that Assad’s forces were behind a “gas” attack”

That´s because you have been knocked out by anti-imperialist propaganda. Don´t worry, it has happened to many, many others.

    • Edward,

Good to hear from you again. No apology needed — but while the CNN account may not be conclusive, this was an attack by the Assad regime on Khan Sheikhoun with a nerve agent.

    • Regimen already I carry other chemical attacks, the mortifero mortifero in 2013, months later tons of chemical material came out of Syria by the sea.obily not everything.but to wait for a regime that practices genocide in its own country …

  2. Hi Scott, there are too many intelligence agencies operating in the north of Syria and too few journalists. It seems more likely that one or two of those intelligence agencies were involved in the gas attack than Assad’s forces. The video started appearing on Arabiya TV long before Assad’s plane(s) bombed Khan Sheikhoun that morning. I respect the fact that you are convinced, but I am not. Edward

    • I have seen no evidence pointing to a staged attack by outside intelligence agencies — especially given that none of them operate Su-22 jet fighters.

This is the first I have heard claim of Arabiya TV showing video foreshadowing the attack, so would be interested in any link. Thanks.
