EA Special: Introducing the “Political Worldview” Podcast — The Islamic State and Gay Marriage Edition

Working with the University of Birmingham’s Department of Politics and International Studies, EA is launching Political WorldView, a regular podcast discussion of world affairs.

Dr Adam Quinn, Dr Christalla Yakinthou, and I will be trying to get behind headlines to the key issues from the Middle East to Europe to the US, and we will be joined by other specialists from Birmingham as the program — and global events — develop.

In the debut episode, we look in detail at the Islamic State and assess the conflicts in Iraq and Syria. Then it’s a discussion of whether the Irish referendum supporting gay marriage will set an example for other parts of the world.

Political Worldview will be part of the soon-to-be-launched EA Birmingham section, featuring videos, analysis, and commentary as well as podcasts.

  1. Good outcome in Ireland. The IS and those with similar views need to be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century.
