An Israeli civilian has been lightly wounded in a stabbing attack near the Gush Etzion settlements in the West Bank.
Israeli security forces shot the attacker, a woman said to be about 20 years old. She is in serious condition in Hadassah University Hospital.
As violence has escalated in East Jerusalem and the West Bank this autumn, there has been a series of stabbing attacks on Israeli soldiers and Jewish settlers.
Monday’s victim sustained light wounds to his shoulder and refused medical treatment.
