Regime forces on Thursday continue to bombard opposition-controlled towns, villages and neighborhoods across the Damascus suburbs and in neighborhoods inside the capital itself.

The Shaam News Network (SNN) reports that three civilians were killed and more injured when a shell hit a car in the Al Hajar Al Aswad neighborhood in Damascus city, immediately south of the besieged Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp (click for map). The attack came after insurgents from the Free Syrian Army on Wednesday hit regime targets in a security headquarters in the neighborhood:

There has also been continued rocket shelling on the Yarmouk camp in Damascus city.

In al-Mleha in East Ghouta, regime forces are clashing with Free Syrian Army fighters at the an-Noor regime checkpoint, amid tank shelling (click for map).

There have also been clashes north of the capital, with FSA fighters launching an assault on regime forces at four checkpoints near Az Zabadani (click for map).

Air Strikes On Athman, North of Dar’aa City

Regime forces have launched more air strikes on Athman, north of Dar’aa City and south of Tafas, the town taken by insurgent forces last week.

Reports Of Regime Advance On as-Safira, Aleppo Province

Citizen journalists from the Shaam News Network are reporting a regime advance in the town of as-Safira in Aleppo Province, following days of heavy clashes, regime shelling and air strikes.

According to SNN, pro-Assad forces have advanced toward as-Safira from the town’s eastern front line, and overran the Souq al-Hal roundabout in a new attempt to invade the town.
