Away from Middle East headlines, Libya is facing political and economic difficulties: the Government has been challenged as weak as it tries to establish authority after the 2011 fall of the Qaddafi regime; there are recurrent clashes between security forces and militias; and oil production has been reduced by up to 90% by strikes and threats of violence.
